STA Office Architecture Inc.

We are an architecture office based in Vancouver, Canada, founded in 2016.

Our practice centers around a shared belief in the transformative powers of design—and that projects, large or small, can become vessels for change and growth, or simply be a joy to occupy.

Our design approach privileges simplicity, working to find clarity, the essentials, and quiet beauty in an increasingly complex terrain. We work for the future while respecting the past, drawing from the richness of cultural and natural life, and always beginning by building knowledge of the places in which we work.

Central to our studio culture is a commitment to developing ideas and built forms that embrace a diversity of architectural concerns (form, construction, history, nature, art, energy, economy, and so forth). And through encompassing work, we seek to further notions of space, beauty, and value.

Our collective interests and project experience is varied, ranging in scales and typologies, from objects to landscapes and interiors to buildings, with commissions from public and private clients. While our outlook is broad and our process open-minded, we focus on each project, working toward specific, thoughtful, and well-crafted solutions.
