This project involved an 800 SF second floor addition that claimed a flat roof section of an existing 2-storey Church built in the mid-1980s. It is defined on the exterior by its full-height glazed curtain wall, expressing itself as a subtle yet clear addition.

Moreover, the glazing capitalizes on the expansive views, including views of Vancouver’s downtown skyline. The interior space acts as an additional amenity room for the Church community, bright and open—in contrast to the hermetic quality of the rooms of the original building.
