Veroni & Co. is a coffee company that prides itself on meticulously crafted coffee drinks. Since 2016, the company has been developing and honing its coffee craft; as its foray and flagship store, this project will share and bring to life this dedicated work.

Our design approach was to translate the brand’s aesthetics into a space that would complement the experience of its coffee offerings.

We chose to reveal the texture of the existing concrete columns and structural floor slab – a variation of textured greys. We found this concrete’s raw and imperfect nature to be a contrasting yet perfect pairing to the exacting and detailed nature of the proposed built elements – six objects, each for a specific planned customer area. Each object is clad in metal – raw, slightly reflective, and precisely milled and cut. Each object has a particular purpose, allowing you to experience its metal finish in relationship to your body in a multitude of ways. The metal is intended to be worn, acquiring a patina of daily activity yet maintaining its characteristic strength. To further enhance the presence of these objects, they sit low in the space, and a datum was created above these elements by rendering the walls and ceiling a flat black, creating a quiet background of depth.

The pure and precise nature of these built objects bridges this new space to the brand’s mantra on coffee and coffee making.
